Our Story



The story began in 2005 with Brian Busby, Hirespin's founder and CEO. One day in 2005 Brian sat at his desk hastily searching for a Oracle Development Specialist to fill a contract position. The client told Brian "I needed this person yesterday! I am out of time and behind schedule." After exhausting the company database with no result, the next step was to post the Job on the "Big 3" job boards and hope for the best. Surely between these vaunted Job sites I will find the candidate I need, or so he thought. One hundred applications, a few days and many hours later Brian was no closer to filling that position. There had to be a better way to match job seekers with good jobs, and create a quality experience for everyone involved in the process. What was Brian's idea to achieve this "quality match?" Screen every job seeker application to ensure all the basic qualifications are met. Consequently, the other job board folks told Brian he was absolutely nuts.

After many months of research and deliberation with job seekers and employers it was clear that they wanted something better, a better job, a better candidate. They wanted more interaction with the site, with each other and better customer service. As for the cost to post a job, it's no surprise, employers wanted better value there too. The lack of a quality matches from these job websites, their exorbitant cost and the belief that he could improve the overall results for job seekers and employers was the impetus that compelled Brian to create what is known today as Hirespin.

From day one, Hirespin's commitment to job seekers and employers has been unwavering. That daily commitment to be the vehicle that creates employment relationships is a passion for us, it's what we love to do. The business of matching quality people to quality companies is keeping us pretty busy these days and we are striving to continually improve our technology and service.
