Director of Business Development
Company specializes in the development and delivery of real-world business simulations, high-impact leadership and management workshops and performance-improvement evaluation tools. We are expanding our presence in three key markets and we are seeking a second Director of Business Development to help us continue our growth in the Washington D.C. and surrounding market. This position is responsible for acquiring new clients and expanding current business relationships. We offer the opportunity for a talented self-starter to utilize their consultative selling skills while partnering with performance improvement experts to uncover business needs and recommend solutions.
Responsibilities:
· Identify target accounts and engage companies with business needs that match learning solutions using consultative selling techniques.
· Work independently to generate revenue and achieve established goals.
· Develop well planned time and territory management strategies and tactics.
· Work effectively as part of a total project/account management team.
· Provide strategic consulting on integrated solutions.
· Develop and present proposals addressing the client’s business needs.
· Make professional sales and business presentations.
· Demonstrate exceptional verbal, presentation, and business writing skills.
· Proactively develop and maintain high visibility in the market.
· Work comfortably with clients at all levels in the organization.
· Work out of a home office and travel within region as required.
· Demonstrate fluency in Word, Excel, Outlook, social media and related software.
. Operate with character and integrity.
Job Requirements:
Qualifications:
The highly qualified candidate 5+ years of successful direct sales experience in training and education, consulting or a related professional services environment. Proven consultative selling experience and success in selling at the senior management level. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Development, Education or a related field; Masters degree a plus.
