Sales Representative

Job Description:

Our Company provides affordable health care coverage for small businesses that ordinarily cannot afford to provide health benefits to their employees. In collaboration with local providers, the State of MN Department of Health and a local foundation, we have developed a community health coverage model that is available to businesses with 50 or fewer employees. A combination of employer payments employee payments and community funding cover the cost of providing care. We are seeking to add another Sales Representative to our team!

Sales Representative

As the Sales Representative, you will support the attainment and maintenance of enrollment in our company, develop and foster a positive working relationship with employers in the service area, close sales with employers and ensure implementation of group operating agreements.

Responsibilities:
•        Identify decision makers and close sales; serve as principle liaison between employers and the company for the purpose of information gathering and problem solving
•        Call on employers and businesses that do not offer health insurance and provide information about the company product; collect and report on information identified in sales activity sheets
•        Develop and implement strategies designed to attract targeted employers through the use of presentations and written communications, resulting in the sale of our company
•        Meet weekly and monthly quotas for contacts with employers
•        Conduct routine follow-up with existing accounts to ensure their needs are being met, identify issues requiring resolution and ensure implementation of operating agreements
•        Submit monthly reports to the Executive Director
•        Develop annual marketing plan, coordinate the development of advertising and marketing materials and other marketing activities
•        Conduct member and business enrollment for new businesses; communicate the benefit package and expectations of the program
•        Communicate effectively the mission and vision of the company
•        Promote, educate and network with the local businesses and residents of our service area
•        Communicate and coordinate services with team members regarding enrollment status, procedures and business status
•        Promote healthy lifestyle choices and encourage individual health improvement
•        Use and disclose member protected health information (phi); annual Confidentiality Agreement

Job Requirements:

Qualifications:
The successful dependable, take initiative individual will possess the following skills, knowledge, experience and abilities:
•        Proven track record of successful health insurance sales
•        Working knowledge of health care coverage and managed care products
•        Effective presentation and telephone skills and the ability to communicate with diverse audiences
•        Enthusiasm and confidence
•        Medical claims processing and coding knowledge a plus, as this job will require interaction with the claims processor and customers
•        Superior problem solving, customer service, communication and team work skills
•        Keen business acumen
•        Ability to travel
