Senior Auditor
Job Description:
Precision Resource Company is seeking a Senior Auditor in Austin, TX. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity with a very reputable utility and water company based in Austin, TX.
Job Summary:
The Senior Auditor will perform complex financial and operational audits.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
• Plans the scope and objectives of assigned audit projects
• Plans audit procedures and develops audit programs to include review and testing of transactions
• Evaluates the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls and the efficiency and effectiveness of departmental operations, including the management, security and control of information technology and data resources
• Exercises judgement in developing written reports to management of audit findings and recommendations to improve operations
• Performs on-going risk assessment and provides input during annual audit planning
Job Requirements:
Job Requirements:
• 5-10 years of Auditing experience. Information technology auditing experience desirable. Experience in operational, financial and compliance auditing experience also highly desirable.
• Knowledge of current internal audit standards and techniques
• Knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, preferred business practices and computerized information systems
• Skills in analytical problem- solving
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or Information Technology
• CIA, CPA, CISA or other auditing certification
